Wait...It's Coming

In the age of consumerism and social media life broadcasts we've been led to believe that we need more and we need more now.

We may start to think: We should be over there doing what classmates are doing. We should have what this one has. Why am I not there yet? Why don't I have this?

Wait....

Remember those good ole sayings:

  1. Nothing before it's time.
  2. What's for you is for you.
  3. Slow and steady wins the race.
They are all true.
When you don't get something exactly when you want it there's many possible reasons why, but I'd say: God knows you weren't to have it - or he says that's not for you to have at all.  Sometimes that road you feel has too many bumps was designed to keep you back from the oncoming collision.

As I approach a major milestone in my life I am reflective, I am happy, I am celebrating. I will not allow society to put an expiration date on my blessings. I am embracing where I am! Progression is my goal and God keeps me moving toward it!

So don't rush for anything; just wait...it's coming!

Meghan Trainor - Like I'm Gonna Lose You ft. John Legend

Tomorrow is not promised
and I promise
to never compromise our love

This treasure, truly
a pleasure that is all ours
sweet chocolate bars

songs on acoustic guitars
played to hold beauty
I urge you, hold my hand

place a band
That'll bind us together
love without measure

unconditional, without pressure
forever never seems long
when we're together

so say "forever"
because I will love you, for better, forever
everyday, like I'm going to lose you

I'm Back to reality but....

Did I run out of things to say?
Not at all guys I've just been trying to get back into my groove, a groove - or some resemblance to a groove.

Was Long Island so amazing I left my brain there?
Now that's believable. LOL

I must say my weekend getaway was amazing and I would do it all over again.  Long Island is truly a beautiful treasure.  Day 4 of the trip still hasn't been posted but I think I'll be able to complete that today. - (totally delayed that Wednesday now- I hope)

Any little time off from work reminds me that my daddy tricked me....oh yes he did.
My whole life I thought we were rich.
Money rich.
Wrong.
We were never money rich but because my family was so rich with favour from God I had everything I needed.  Sacrifices were made by my parents to give me a foundation that is sturdy to this day.  They never left me without my needs and they even provided some wants.
Thanks for tricking me daddy.  :D

I'm back to reality...but my reality isn't half bad.

Day 3: Stella Maris, Long Island

After a rainy morning the sun came out, beaming the blessings. Some people were learning how to scuba dive here, so after the man told me I didn't need to know how to swim to scuba... & I declined, we were off to the next pool. No Scuba Diving for ME.
Me and mum - profiling and semi smiling

Moonshine bar & grill was the most amazing spot...breeze better than A/C
By now you know my mom isn't the best photographer but I love this shot
                                                                                       And this one!

And shortly after this shot, we fell asleep
----------><--------

Before we got ready for church we stuffed our guts; grouper fingers, fries and a salad
I should have left a couple of fries on the plate to make it look like I'm not a gubba - but I can't be bothered, I'm a Gubba!
This is St. Mary's Anglican Church in Glintons; lovely service - they said farewell to a much loved priest

After the service and meeting some of the locals....more exploring

And watched the sun set!

My belly needed some <3 so we had some mozzarella sticks

Round 2                                                   with these awesome     daiquiris

Until next time....

Day 2: Stella Maris n beyond; Long Island

Day 2: Adventures in Long Island
Waking up to this makes waking up even more AWESOME

On the road with our new Long Island friend, Shaun - where are we going? are we there yet?
seriously, are we there yet?

Exploring and ended up at Cape Santa Maria
Surf Board - only on land chal - lacking mad balance on the 2nd pic

With these views you must give thanks, I thought the silence would kill me, but it's amazing! I'm enjoying the moments - mum is the worst picture taker, Shaun ain (isn't - for my non Bahamian readers I love) much better & I can't remember my flickin' selfie stick.
At the north end, The End of Long Island this side

I'd love to always she my mom laughing and happy like this, no matter how we argue - das my girl!

So we're relaxing after a long drive and tap tap tap, this little critter wanted to be invited in..."CATCH HIM" Bae said - ahhhhh NO

Back at the resort when we had enough energy to get out of bed - mumsie and her awesome conch fritters I couldn't eat. Allergies BITE!  She said they were really tasty and full of conch.
A boat suspended above our head

About to chase crabs

She caught a big one - LOL

They were every where we turned

I said, "what if he snap at my finger" my mom said - "girl that ain ga hurt" LOL really between mom and Bae they want me to go home without fingers. Oh and to the right is my crab walk

I got a Marlin baby! nevermind I'm on my toes

My favourite - I'm gonna sleep like a baby

Caves: guess who's scared

Connecting with my inner child

Dinner with my lady: daiquiris 1 mummy none lol 2 each and no repeats
